All the flurry of excitement since last fall’s film festival in Duluth, MN has quieted down. Following my pitch of RAINY LAKE at the Catalyst Festival, I was approached by a director who expressed genuine interest in my proposed television series. She said it had “legs” and the potential for “multiple seasons.” She went off to find financial support and it’s been quiet ever since.
So what does a dreamer do? Try again in different ways. I have submitted my pilot for feedback from three different film executives. And with comments in mind, I am revising my pilot to make it stronger. And then, submit again. And again. This is much like publishing, where you keep trying – or give up. Not ready to do that yet. I’ll keep you posted!
